Massa edges Hamilton in France.

Felipe Massa earned pole on the Magny Cours circuit. Massa ends Lewis Hamilton's pole streak to two straight. The curvy circuit makes it very difficult to pass once in front. Can Massa end Hamilton's two win streak? Fernando Alonso has lost steam lately. He qualified only 10th.

Magny Cours qualifying session:

Pole: Felipe Massa (Ferrari)
2-Lewis Hamilton (McLaren)
3-Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari)

The 2007 HHOF inductees.

The NHL announced today the identity of the four players that will be inducted into the Hockey Hall Of Fame a bit later on this summer.

Mark Messier, won the Stanley cup five times with the Edmonton Oilers and once with the New-York Rangers during his illustrious career. His nomination was obvious. Messier retired on Sept, 12, 2005, as the NHL's second-leading scorer behind Wayne Gretzky. In 1,756 regular-season games, Messier had 694 goals and 1,193 assists for 1,887 points. He ranks seventh in goals and third in assists. Messier was the second-greatest scorer in Stanley Cup history, behind only, of course, Wayne Gretzky. Messier totals 109 goals and 186 assists for 295 points in 236 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Scott Stevens, the star defensemen of the New-Jersey Devils. He has won the Stanley cup three times. During his brillant career he totalized 196 goals and 712 assists for 908 points in 1,635 regular-season games. Stevens added 26 goals and 92 assists for 118 points in 233 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Stevens was runner-up to Raymond Bourque in voting for both the 1988 and 1994 Norris trophy.

Al MacInnis, a legendary defensemen who was known and feared for his very heavy slapshot. MacInnis won the Stanley cup once with the Calgary Flames in 1989. MacInnis totals 340 goals and 934 assists for 1,274 points in 1,416 regular-season games. Among NHL defensemen, only Bourque and Paul Coffey scored more goals. MacInnis had 39 goals and 121 assists for 160 points in 177 Stanley Cup games.

Ron Francis, three-time Lady Byng Trophy winner. He retired as the fourth-leading scorer with 1,798 points. Francis was second only to Gretzky with 1,249 assists and third with 1,731 regular-season games played. His 549 goals ranks him fifth. He had 46 goals and 97 assists for 143 points in 171 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

In memory of Chris Benoit.

Yesterday, the world of wrestling once again was struck by a tragedy. Superstar Chris Benoit, 40-years old, his wife Nancy and his son Daniel were found dead in their house. A painful reality check for WWE once again. Police investigation is pointing towards a double-murder followed by a suicide. Steroids has also been found in the gym of Benoit's house. A tragic ending that shocked the entire wrestling world.

The news was so shocking that Vince McMahon has put an end his stupid fake death scenario of a few weeks ago to pay tribute to this unique athlete. Yesterday, monday night RAW was modified into a 3-hour tribute to the career of the Montreal native. Many of Benoit's great matches were presented for the fans to remember his now legendary career.

Fans had one last opportunity yesterday to appreciate his talent in various matches from his victory in the 2004 Royal Rumble to his Wrestlemania XX main event victory where he earned his only WWE heavyweight world title, the pinnacle of his professional career.

Also, many of his colleagues went in front of the camera and talked about Benoit, a good man, a loving husband and father. Stone cold Steve Austin and John Cena only to name those gave us their thoughts on the man they respected and loved. Interviews with his mother and father about the life and times of their son was also presented.

A tragic end for a champion.

Why Bob, why?

During the first round of the 2007 NHL entry draft, all eyes were set on General Manager Bob Gainey and his recruiting director Trevor Timmins in Montreal. The reason is that young prospect from the Quebec Remparts, Angelo Esposito was available.

We all thought that the young Esposito would be already picked come Montreal's time to choose. Esposito had met with Carolina Hurricanes General Manager Jim Rutherford three times. The Hurricanes were picking just in front of Montreal. But oh surprize! The Hurricanes chose Brandon Sutter, leaving Esposito available for Montreal to pick. Originally from Montreal, Esposito clearly stated weeks before the draft that he dreamed of playing with the Canadiens.

I thought that this was it, Esposito was ours. Bob Gainey and Treor Timmins went to the front desk to announce their choice. Trevor Timmins approached from the microphone to announce his pick: ''The Montreal Canadiens are proud to select...Ryan McDonagh.''

WHAT?!? WHO?!? That was my first reaction. The commentators from RDS were also in shock. Two seconds after that I was totally pissed. then I said to myself: ''This player has better be extremely good or they will hear about this for at least a decade!'' So why did Montreal ignored a talented french canadian from Montreal dreaming of playing for the Habs?

Why Bob, why? Are you anti-francophone Bob?

Is this another kind of ridiculous pick like the Doug Wickenheiser instead of Denis Savard one? And to make matters worse, The Pittsburgh Penguins picked Angelo Esposito just a bit later. They do not hesitate to pick french speaking players from Quebec. They have Marc-Andre Fleury in net, Michel Therrien as head coach, Jocelyn Thibault as backup goalie, and now Angelo Esposito.

I already imagine the first Pittsburgh line in a few years from now. Sydney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Angelo Esposito. That line could make some damage in a few years around the league. What will the Montreal press say when Esposito will score a goal against Montreal with Mcdonagh on the ice?

Today is Quebec's national day and I don't feel like celebrating at all...

Claude Julien confirmed as Bruins head coach.

The Boston Bruins announced this morning in a press conference that they have hired Claude Julien as their new head coach. This is Julien's third different coaching job in three consecutive seasons.

Julien began his NHL coaching career with the Montreal Canadiens, then last season he was behind the bench with the New-Jersey Devils. Let's hope that he will stay for more than a full season in Boston to leave him at least enough time to undo his suitcase... There is no doubt that he can successfully lead a team to the playoffs and beyond.

Claude Julien becomes the 17th head coach in the last 30 years in Boston. The general managers in Boston over the last 3 decades have pulled the trigger very fast on their coaches.

I wish him good luck with his new team.

Will the Ducks lose Niedermayer too?

After this month's Stanley cup conquest, the Anaheim Ducks knew about Teemu Selanne's intention to put an end to his career. But they didn't plan on losing their star defensemen and team captain Scott Niedermayer.

Niedermayer is currently thinking about retiring after winning his 4th Stanley cup this season. His retirement could hurt the Ducks badly because he still has 2 more seasons worth $6.75 millions each to go to his current contract. His decision could affect Brian Burke, the team's General Manager.

Should Niedermayer retire, Burke would obviously be looking for another defensemen to replace him. With the signing of Kimmo Timonen with the Philadelphia Flyers this week, Burke's options are quickly diminishing. Could Brian Burke consider hiring a defensemen like Sheldon Souray?

Let's see what Niedermayer decides first.

Claude Julien almost a Bruins.

According to the TSN network, the Boston Bruins are on the verge to hire Claude Julien as their new head coach. The Bruins have just fired Dave Lewis last friday, so the spot is officially open. Boston wanted to hire Julien last season but were too late. He had already signed a contract with the New-Jersey Devils.

Claude Julien had a record of 49 wins and 24 losses when he was fired only a few games before the beginning of the playoffs by Devils' General Manager Lou Lamoriello. The Bruins General Manager, Peter Chiarelli confirmed that Claude Julien was and is still his number one choice to be the Bruins head coach.

A press conference should confirm Julien's hiring during the course of this week.

Lewis Hamilton continues on his great sequence and has won the Indianapolis race this afternoon. Hamilton wins his second Grand Prix in a row and extends his lead in front of the drivers championship to 10 points.

The battle with his teammate Fernando Alonso has been interesting, especially during the middle of the race. Alonso went side-by-side with Hamilton but failed to complete the pass. The rest of the race went smoothly for Hamilton.

The Ferraris driven by Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen placed third and fourth. As for 19 year-old Sebastian Vettel replacing Robert Kubica this weekend, he grabbed one point as he completed his first ever Grand Prix in 8th position.

Villeneuve's quest for the 24h at LeMans.

Jacques Villeneuve was on board of a Peugeot 908 HDi-FAP for this year's edition of the 24 hours race at le Mans, France.

Along with teammates Nicolas Minassian and Marc Gené, the trio did fairly well on the famous 13.629 km long racetrack as they were ranked 3rd for the major part of the race.

But with only 1h30 left to the race, their Peugeot experienced engine problems forcing the team to retire from the competition. Overall, this first experience for Villeneuve was positive, he declared that he really enjoyed the experience. We can bet that Jacques Villeneuve will try again to win this prestigious race, the only single race victory missing in his racing career.

Only Grahame Hill managed to win the racing triple crown consisting in a F-1 driver championship, a Indianapolis 500 victory and the 24h le Mans victory. Villeneuve is only one le Mans away from re-editing Hill's accomplishment.

His teammate with McLaren-Mercedes, Fernando Alonso will start alongside him on the starting grid tomorrow.

Sebastian Vettel did a great job by qualifying in 7th place at his very first Grand Prix in his career. He is replacing Robert Kubica this week. Kubica experienced a very spectacular crash last week on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. Vettel, a young 19 year-old german represents the future for BMW-Sauber.

Habs gets rid of Samsonov.

Sergei Samsonov have been traded to the Chicago Blackhawks for Jassen Cullimore and Tony Salmelainen. General Manager Bob Gainey figured that Samsonov was not in the team's plans anymore and did the good thing by trading him instead of buying back Samsonov's contract.

Montreal should logically buy back Cullimore's contract and evaluate Salmelainen, a 25 year-old player. By comparison of the salaries, the Montreal Canadiens will save around $640 000 on their salary cap. That sum can be applied to another contract, to Sheldon Souray's new contract or for another acquisition.

Finally a good move from Bob Gainey. I totally agree with the personnel move.

Lucian Bute defeats Sakio Bika.

Lucian Bute has defeated Sakio Bika yesterday evening at the Bell centre in front of 10 000 loud spectators. Bute still has a perfect record of 20-0-0 as a professional. His victory makes him the mandatory opponent for the IBF super-middleweight title held by Alejandro Berrio (26-4-0).

Sakio Bika started the fight very aggresively and won 2 of the first 4 rounds. But after the 4th round, Bute clearly dominated his opponent to finally win by unanimous decision 116-111, 118-109 and 118-109.

Lucian Bute's IBF title shot will be disputed towards the end of september. His dream of fighting in a championship bout is only a few months away.

The 2007 NHL honors.

Yesterday evening was the individual trophy distribution in Toronto. Without any big surprise, Sidney Crosby has won the major honors. The new Pittsburgh Penguins captain has won the Hart trophy and the Lester B Pearson trophy. Crosby becomes the youngest player to win the Hart trophy since Wayne Gretzky in 1980.

As for the other trophies, Martin Brodeur edged Roberto Luongo for the Vezina trophy, awarded to the league's best goaltender. Nicklas Lidstrom has won the Norris trophy for the 4th time in his career, the Norris is awarded to the best defensemen. Alain Vigneault, head coach of the Vancouver Canucks has been voted as the best coach of 2007 and was given the Jack Adams trophy. The Frank J. Selke trophy was given to Rod Brind'Amour.

Now for the not-so-good news... Pavel Datsyuk, the 2007 Lady Bing trophy winner, Evgeni Malkin, the 2007 Calder trophy winner and Saku Koivu, 2007 King Clancy trophy winner. All three of them were not attending to the ceremony and it is really a shame. Those three players probably think that they have too much importance and are too busy to attend a simple ceremony to congratulate them.

Just imagine if Sidney Crosby was to be absent to the ceremony...it would've been a big headline. But those three were not there to receive their awards and nobody cared about this when in fact it is really a shame. It shows their lack of ''love'' and ''dedication'' for the game.

Those three europeans (because the randomness of things makes that they are all europeans) really should be ashamed of themselves.

Alexei Yashin is considering Montreal.

Alexei Yashin has been released from the New-York Islanders just last week and is now an unrestricted free agent. He can now negociate with any NHL team for a new contract.

Among the places that he is considering, Montreal is one of his first choices. He said that he has a nice relationship with Alex Kovalev, Andrei Markov and Saku Koivu.

Can Yashin really help the Montreal Canadiens? We all know that Montreal has a big hole at the center position and with Yashin's raw talent, the 6'3'' and 220 pounds center could complete an efficient line along with Alex Kovalev and Sergei Samsonov.

I think that Yashin could be a short term solution but the Habs should be very cautious with the amount of money and the duration of the contract that they are willing to offer to him. I think that a deal valued between 2 and 3 Millions for a single season could be a reasonnable price tag. Montreal should not offer a multi-year deal to force the russian player to perform next season.

To be continued....

New funding for PayPerPost!

This week there is a very big announcement from PayPerPost. They just announced us posties that they raised $7 millions that is now added to the previous $3 millions invested at the beginning of the PayPerPost adventure. Bringing the company investments to a grand total of $10 millions of dollars!

This will sure give the developpement team some room to work with and I would not be surprized to see some more updates coming in a near future. Ted Murphy and the developping team are always working very hard and very efficiently. Not only the blog ethics have been respected but they have enhanced the concept with their very own disclosure policy. The company now has more and more spotlight and is more and more recognized and respected among the blogosphere.

The group is very creative and extremely fun to work with. I am very happy to be a part of their team even if I am rather a small blogger, am only active on a part-time basis and I only have a few contacts with other posties and the employees. The company seem to have taken off pretty well now as they celebrate their very first birthday.

Keep on the good work guys, you are the best!

For the occasion PayPerPost has composed a press release:

Getting cheaper every week.

Yesterday's episode of Monday Night Raw could be described as a needed deep vacuum cleaning session. A draft was scheduled during yesterday's episode. Such drafts happen periodically to mix up the Raw, Smackdown and ECW rosters with new and fresh faces. These moves can also be seen as promotions for some and demotions for others.

So with that in mind, a nice piece of cleaning up has been done yesterday. The Great Khali, The boogeyman, Torrie Wilson, Chris Masters and Ric Flair were thrown away from Raw to Smackdown. All of them really needed to get out of Raw. A good thing because Masters, Khali and Flair are clearly not good enough and not of any interest for the fans. So they were thrown away from Raw yesterday...good riddance! The one exception to this rule must be Torrie Wilson. She was sent to Smackdown maybe just to upgrade the women roster out there...

So when some wrestlers are thrown away from Raw, open spots are filled with the most promising wrestlers from Smackdown and ECW. King Booker, Bobby Lashley, Snitzky and Mr Kennedy (wait a few seconds....) KENNEDY! are flowing into Raw. For Booker and Snitzky it's a well deserved return to Raw as for Lashley and Mr Kennedy....(KENNEDY!!!!!) they are without a doubt WWE's cream of the crop and will both be a perfect fit for Raw.

As for ECW, the roster welcomes Chris Benoit and The boogeyman. The first one will probably be around the ECW championship hunt as the boogeyman's freakish style should better serve ECW than any other WWE brand.

Everything was going well until the very end of the show. The matches were fine, the whole draft switches were also fine and were perfectly making sense. So Mr.McMahon, who was still a bit troubled these past weeks by the loss of his ECW title, entered in a white limousine (which in 99% of the case is a black one) to leave the building. As Mr McMahon was taking place in the long white car, a ''bomb'' exploded, spitting flames that burned the car from front to back. Firefighters rushed to the scene trying to find Mr. McMahon's body inside the wreck.

WWE.com's front page immediatly titled: Mr. McMAHON PRESUMED DEAD.

I have no problem with the fact that this is entertainment and some tragic stories sometimes really happen. Hell, I have no problem with McMahon's car exploding tragically. My problem is the huge title on the website and the attempt to make this a real story.

At the end of the article describing the scene, the attempt to fool the fans is obvious and really cheap. Here is the last part of the article about McMahon's car ''bombing''.

''This incident is the first of its kind since the assassination of political figure Orlando Letelier in Washington, D.C. in 1976. Sources say that given the nature of the apparent car bombing, under law federal authorities will be called in for a more thorough investigation that would supersede local Pennsylvania authorities.

Check back with WWE.com as we continue to follow developments in the most shocking incident in sports-entertainment history.''

Why did Vince ruin a decent episode with a fake death scene? And why do they relate this episode ending to a real story happening to Orlando Letelier during the 1970's? Does Vince and the WWE actually think that we might believe the story? It really shows that this whole WWE is getting cheaper and cheaper.

Lewis Hamilton wins his first Grand Prix.

McLaren-Mercedes' rookie driver, Lewis Hamilton has just won his first Grand Prix in career at the Canadian Grand Prix, his 6th career start and his 6th podium finish.

The race itself was nothing short of spectacular. There was many position changes during the race, two disqualifications and a huge crash by Robert Kubica who ended up with only a bruised ankle. Despite the injury, Kubica's condition could've been a lot worse. His car totally desintegrated after hitting a cement wall at full speed.

Among others, Heikki Kovalainen who started 22nd, managed to finish the race in 4th position. Then with 2 laps to go, Takuma Sato on board of a Super Aguri managed to overtake the slightly damaged McLaren-Mercedes driven by the double world champion Fernando Alonso who finished the race in 7th place.

2-Nick Heidfeld (BMW)
3-Alexander Wurz (Williams)

The king of clay defends his kingdom.

Rafael Nadal have successfully defended his double Roland Garros championship by defeating Roger Federer in 4 sets of 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Rafael Nadal almost went perfect this year, the only set he dropped during the whole tournament was the second set to Roger Federer in this final. Nadal wins the Roland Garros tournament for the third time in a row. The last player to accomplish such a streak was the great Bjorn Borg.

Roger Federer will have to try to grab his first Roland Garros title next year. His situation looks like Ivan Lendl's Wimbledon grand final failures. The 1980's number one player always had Boris Becker in his way in the Wimbledon finals. Just like Lendl, Roger Federer has Rafael Nadal in his way at Roland Garros.

Congratulation Rafa for this third Roland Garros title in a row.

Spectacular qualifying session in Montreal.

Today on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit was the qualifying session of the Canadian Grand Prix. The session was action packed and some surprizing performances were accomplished. Lewis Hamilton will start from the pole position, his first pole of his young career.

The most spectacular pilot of this session has been without a doubt Nick Heidfeld. During his final lap of the second qualifying session, Heidfeld even touched the wall with both of his right side tires in the last corner of his lap and even managed to register a good time. To add to his great afternoon, he registered a great time on the third and last session. Heidfeld will start from the third position and even placed in front of both Ferrari cars.

Tomorrow's race promises a lot of action.

Here are the top 10 starting positions:

Pole: Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) 1:15.707
2-Fernando Alonso (McLaren) 1:16.163

Clash of the champions.

Tomorrow afternoon, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will once again go head-to-head in a tournament final. This time it is for the Roland Garros grand slam tournament.

Roger Federer is still looking for that first Roland Garros title in his career. The only grand slam tournament championship that doesn't appear in his trophy case. Should Federer manage to beat his arch-rival tomorrow, he will join a very select club of legends such as Andre Agassi, the last player to win all four grand slam titles during his career.

On the other side of the court, Rafael Nadal, king of clay surfaces. He will defend his double Roland Garros championship tomorrow. Only this time, there may be some doubt in Nadal's head. He might not feel totally invincible this time because Federer ended his awesome winning streak on clay a few weeks ago during the Hamburg tournament finals.

The stakes are high and this will probably be an excellent and exciting matchup to watch.

Hamilton Bulldogs wins the Calder cup.

Montreal Canadiens' farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs have defeated the Hershey Bears 2-1 yesterday evening and won the Calder cup, supremacy emblem of the AHL. The last time the Montreal farm team has won the cup was back in 1985.

Goaltender Carey Price has been chosen as the playoffs MVP. The young 1st round draft pick is showing a lot of potential. This year has been an excellent one for Price. He has won the gold medal at the World Junior Hockey Championships and now the Calder cup.

The next Habs training camp will be an interesting one to follow. A lot of goaltenders are into the Montreal Canadiens organization right now and at least one of them will be looking for a trade. Christobal Huet, Yann Danis, Carey Price and Jaroslav Halak are currently under contract with the team and will be there for the next training camp.

Congratulations to the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Mash content and earn cash.

The NewsRoom is offering site owners and bloggers like you the opportunity to earn cash with your own site or blog. It is really easy and simple to do.

All you have to do is visit The News Room , register for free, then choose a picture or movie to embed on your site. The visual footage available comes from a list of news sources like the Associated Press, Reuters, the MCT news service and CBS news for example.

All that you need is to ''mash'' content on your site. You pick a picture or a movie from The NewsRoom website and just simply embed it on your site. It's that easy. Then, the more this picture or movie is seen on your site, the more money you earn. CPM starts at 1$ and can go up to 4$. There are also many prizes to be won including electronic devices, vacations and even a car!

But there is more to this.

You will also earn money when someone mashes content from your site and it is viewed on their own site. So if you happen to have a very popular site already, the possibilities are endless. Your readers will ''mash'' the content from your site and embed it on theirs.

All there is left to do for you is to choose content of interest among the huge amount of footage available. Maybe there are some stories in there that you already blogged about in the past. So this is a nice way to maximize your site earnings while covering topics you already talk about in the first place.

Here is an example of mashed content:

Anaheim Ducks: 2007 Stanley cup champions.

The Anaheim Ducks won the 2007 Stanley cup finals by defeating the Ottawa Senators 6-2 yesterday evening.

The Ducks wins the series in 5 games and becomes the 19th different team to engrave it's name on Lord Stanley's trophy.

Scott Niedermayer has been chosen as the best player of the 2007 playoffs and was awarded the Conn Smythe trophy. I really think that goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere should've been chosen for the Conn Smythe. Without his quality goaltending, the Ducks would have never won the cup this year.

So this ends the 2006-2007 NHL season. Fans will have to wait 4 long months to see their favorite team in action once again. The coolest game on earth will come back for a brand new season on next october. Patience my friends and have a nice summer!

Congratulations to the Anaheim Ducks, 2007 Stanley cup champions.

Desperate situation.

The Ottawa Senators are in a desperate situation as they are facing elimination tonight against the Anaheim Ducks in Anaheim. The Stanley cup, hockey's holy grail, will be in the building tonight and will be awarded to the Ducks should they defeat the Senators one more time.

Looking at the present situation can be desperate for the Ottawa players. The Senators have to take this situation game by game. First thing on their agenda: win tonight and extend the series to game 6. Every bit of energy they have left must be spent tonight. Losing means the end of the season and a long period of rest.

Anaheim lead the Stanley cup finals 3 games to 1.

Ducks, 1 away from the cup.

The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 yesterday evening and are now only one win away from becoming the 2007 Stanley cup champions.

The Senators started the game very well, they played a great 1st period, dominated the play but only managed to score a single goal because of Jean-Sebastien Giguere's brillant goaltending for the Ducks. Then as the game went on, the Ducks picked up their play and played much better during the second half of the game. Andy McDonald scored 2 goals and Dustin Penner scored the game-winner for the Ducks 4 minutes into the 3rd period.

Game 5 of the series is scheduled in Anaheim.

Pronger will miss game 4 tonight.

Chris Pronger has been suspeded for tonight's game after hitting Dean McAmmond to the head with an elbow during game 3 last saturday night. This is already the 2nd suspension to Pronger during these playoffs and the 7th time that the player has been suspended during his career. Once again, only one game of suspension is not enough for such a disgraceful free shot.

No rust in my game.

I haven't played online Hold'em poker in a while and as I had nothing during this early sunday, I decided to enter a freeroll. I have just ended the tournament and finished in 6th place of the multi-table freeroll tournament I registered in. We played 3 hours to decide of a final table. Along with 460 other players, the tournament went with solid logical poker playing. No bad beats. Also, there was some timely efficient bluffing and stack bullying from the finalists. Even on the hand I got eliminated as I became short-stacked towards the end it was good. Just clean fun sunday morning poker.

My account was very low after I withdrew all my earnings on January 1st so these few bucks I won ($5) will once and for all insure me that I virtually cannot ever crash to $0. Unless I go crazy with all my account. I probably am one of the few lucky players among the millions around the world that never deposited a penny to earn cash playing online hold'em poker.

Again I do not break records, I am a respectable player, but anyway, I will have a total of $1000 in online hold'em poker earnings in a bit over a 2 year span at my favorite place. This year I didn't win a lot because of a lack of playing time.

Some rules towards online poker playing restricts some players in countries like the U.S. The legal ways to fund an accounts thru deposits and withdrawing of the winnings have also changed. Services like Netteller no longer accepts money transfers to or from online gambling sites.

Some debate and say that hold'em poker is not gambling. I tend to sometimes agree with them. All I have to add is that I had a lot of fun, and won some dough on this cloudy early sunday.

Senators still in it.

The Ottawa Senators had to rally back in the the game 3 times during the whole match. Ray Emery benefited of some offensive support because he was a bit shaky. Ottawa eventually pushed ahead thru Dean McAmmond's game-winning goal late in the second period. The Sens defeated the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 yesterday evening in game 3 of the 2007 Stanley cup finals.

Andy McDonald, Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf scored for Anaheim, every time putting Anaheim ahead by a goal. But the Ducks fell a bit short as from 2-3 the Sens scored 3 unanswered goals. Daniel Alfredsson tied the game at 3-3 with a very discutable goal, then McAmmond late in 2nd and finally Anton Volchenkov scored the insurance goal halfway in the 3rd period.

Must win situation.

Tonight it is game 3 of the Stanley cup final. The Anaheim Ducks won their first 2 games at home and lead this best-of-seven series 2-0. The Ottawa Senators must reply and win two games at home.

Tonight and then win game 4.

Jason Spezza, Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson must show that they are for real tonight. If those 3 players and the rest of the team don't explode and dominate the whole game in front of an electric sold out home crowd, the ''choking tag'' will be ''tagged'' to this franchise by the mass media for a long time. Unless goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere decides otherwise...

The road is long to get to this Stanley cup final. 82 regular season games and 12 playoff wins. As CBC used to say in a musical clip aired between periods: ''The chance may never come again...''

Captain Crosby.

Pittsburgh Penguins' star player, Sidney Crosby has been named team captain yesterday. He becomes the youngest team captain in NHL history at 19 years old and 8 months.

Last season, Crosby finished in first place for total points at his second full season in the NHL. He saved the Pittsburgh franchise from bankruptcy and is one of the sport's best ambassador. The league should focus their marketing around him even more from now on. The sport popularity is decreasing in the U.S. and a young talented man like this is essential for the NHL image and popularity. Add his exemplary attitude on and off the ice and you have the perfect man for the job.

Congratulations and best of luck Sidney!
