Massa signs his 4th career pole.

Felipe Massa of Ferrari will start from the pole at the Sepang, Malaysia Grand Prix. The defending champion with McLaren Mercedes, Fernando Alonso will be at his side in second . The winner of the first race of the season Kimi Raikkonen registered the third time. Only the first three cars registered a time under 1 minute and 36 seconds.

Ferrari starts the season strong as they won the first race of the year and placed their car in pole on the first 2 Grand Prix of this 17-race season. Will Alonso even be able to challenge Massa tomorrow? The chances that Massa eludes the slightly less performant McLaren of Alonso are great.
