Begin takes care of the Islanders.

The Montreal Canadiens played a very solid road game yesterday as they dominated the New-York Islanders from start to finish to finally defeat them by 4-1.

Steve Begin sounded the charge as he scored 2 goals during the game. His first goal came only 56 seconds into the game and gave the tempo to the match. Chris Higgins and Tomas Plekanec also scored for the Habs.

Christobal Huet was once again in net for Montreal. Even after losing many games in a row, head coach Guy Carbonneau did not fold under the mediatic pressure of sending Carey Price in. So Huet stopped his losing streak and only allowed a single goal the the Islanders late into the game.

The Habs will travel to Buffalo on friday to face the Sabres. Carey Price will be in net for the Habs for this one.

I am liking the way that the Canadians are playing this year. They will need a few things to come together for them to make a playoff run.
