The 2007 HHOF inductees.
Yesterday in Toronto was held the ceremony to induct Mark Messier, Ron Francis, Al MacInnis and Scott Stevens into the Hockey Hall of Fame. They were awarded their commemorative ring yesterday evening.
The event was announced a few months ago already and the choice of the players inducted made the unanimity among everyone. All of those players were hockey elite superstars.
One thing that came out of the evening is the fact that every new inductee has expressed the wish to continue to be involved in hockey. All of them wish to have either a coaching or a manager position in a near future. MacInnis is currently vice-president of hockey operations with the St-Louis Blues.
The passion for the game and the wish to give back what was given to him is the main motivation for Al MacInnis.
Everything I have, I owe it to hockey. Said Ron Francis.
Their passion has lifted them to the highest honors in hockey and the passion for the game is still intact. Their contributions to the next generation of players will feel like giving back what was given to them.
Congratulations to all of them for a great career.
