Huet shuts the Sabres down.

The Montreal Canadiens hosted the Buffalo Sabres yesterday at the Bell centre. The match itself wasn't exceptionnally exciting for the fans as the scoring was kept very low. The Habs finally won the match 2-0.

Tomas Plekanec scored the game-winner as he manoevered and slided the puck between Ryan Miller's legs. Bryan Smolinski scored the insurance goal in an empty net with 30 seconds to go.

The star of the match was Habs goaltender Christobal Huet. The goaltender stopped the 29 shots he had to face and registered his 14th career shutout. His performance compared to saturday's game versus the Toronto Maple Leafs was a lot more convincing.

The Habs will now travel for the next 4 games as they will play in Boston, Ottawa, Toronto and Buffalo on this road trip.
