NHL 2007 playoffs: Ottawa-Pittsburgh.

One of the most anticipated first round series by the fans is certainly the series between the Ottawa Senators and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Both teams finished the season with 105 points. The Ottawa Senators has the home ice advantage because they have won 1 more game than Pittsburgh during the whole season.


The home ice advantage will be Ottawa's best friend in this series. Should they lose the advantage by dropping one of the first two games of the series, they will be in serious trouble. The Penguins lost only 10 games in regulation at home.

Both teams have quality players. Pittsburgh is a young team and has the talent to beat a lot of teams. Ottawa's players have a bit more NHL experience than Pittsburgh's but it should not stop Sidney Crosby and his band from from defeating Ottawa.

I predict a Pittsburgh victory in 6 games.
