One word: WOW!
Tonight's game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs was as expected: a classic! The intensity level on the ice was as high as it could get. The atmosphere at the Bell centre was electric all evening long. A delightful game for any true hockey fan.
The game itself went to the limit and with a 2-2 tie, the shootout session was needed to separate the two teams. Mats Sundin was the only Toronto player to beat Jaroslav Halak in the shootout. Halak was simply spectacular all game long, prooving once again that he is already better than David Aebisher on every aspect. Saku Koivu and Andrei Kostitsyn beated Andrew Raycroft during the shootout to give Montreal a crucial 3-2 win.
After this result, both teams are now tied with 78 points. Montreal and Toronto have one more scheduled matchup coming at the very last game of the regular season. Scheduled at the Air Canada centre, maybe this ultimate game will be needed to decide who will make the playoffs between the Habs and the Leafs.
