Sydney was too good for David.
Sydney Crosby scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season and helped the Pittsburgh Penguins defeat the Montreal Canadiens 6-3. Montreal did a few key mistakes in the 3rd period but played a good game in general.
The story of the loss is once again the clown in Montreal's net: David Aebisher. I cannot keep track of how many times this goaltender has allowed poor goals this season. It really is a joke. Again yesterday he looked like a fool on 3 of the 6 Pittsburgh goals. Do the math and this game could have been a 3-3 tie going into overtime. I really can't wait for the season to end to finally get rid of this guy. It will be a therapy for me...really.
Even with this loss, the team was lucky enough to get help from the other teams. Toronto and the N-Y Rangers lost so the team isn't buried just yet. They have to shake this loss off and concentrate on a very important game tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Bell centre. You can bet that there will be a ton of intensity in this game...as every time the Leafs are in town.
Will Guy Carbonneau stick with the clown tonight or give the net to Jaroslav Halak for this important matchup?
