Ryder's final nail on Bob Gainey's coffin.

Down 0-2 in the series, the Montreal Canadiens could not afford to lose game three at home against the Boston Bruins yesterday at the Bell centre.

Montreal started the game well and scored first this time. Christopher Higgins scored his second goal of the series.

But Boston had all the answers in this game. The Bruins scored late in the first period and took the lead early into the second. It took Yannick Weber's very first NHL goal to lift the spirits in the Bell centre. The game was tied at two after two.

But once again, Boston had all the answers. One of the many ex-canadiens playing around the league, Michael Ryder, scored the game-winner during the third period. Another 4-2 victory for the Boston Bruins who now leads the series by 3-0. Ryder's goal clearly marks the end of Bob Gainey's era as GM of the Canadiens.

Added with the rumors going around about new ownership of the franchise, we could have a brand new administration and many new faces come october 1st 2009.
