The comeback team has struck again.

The Montreal Canadiens has completed another comeback yesterday to defeat the Buffalo Sabres at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo.

The Canadiens were completely dominated and bottled in their own end of the ice during the first two periods of yesterdat's game. Goaltender Carey Price has kept his team in the game during the early part. Only Drew Stafford for Buffalo and Alex Kovalev for the Habs had scored goals during the first two frames.

Then into the third period, Nathan Paetssh and Daniel Paillé provided a three to one lead for the Sabres. The victory was almost in the bag for Buffalo. But a mistake was made by the Sabres... they have decided to play a more defensive style to protect their lead.

Tomas Plekanec with less than three minutes to go to the game has reduced the Sabres' lead to only one goal on a power play. Then during the last minute of the game, the Canadiens pulled their goalie for a sixth player and managed to tie the game up with only 14 seconds to go. Tomas Plekanec, with his second goal of the game, has tied the game at 3-3 sending both teams in overtime.

Christopher Higgins has struck Buffalo during the overtime period on a great pass by Mark Streit to complete another spectacular comeback victory.

Final score: Montreal Canadiens 4 - Buffalo Sabres 3.

This loss is really hurting the Sabres' hopes to participate to the playoffs. Buffalo is four points away from 8th place with only four games to play.

As for the Canadiens, they have reclaimed the first place of the Eastern conference, one point ahead of the Pittsburgh Penguins. Montreal is in action once again tonight in Toronto as they face the Maple Leafs.
