US Open: a Roddick-Federer encounter in quarters.

The quarterfinalists of the 2007 US Open are now known and an interesting clash is scheduled in one of the quarterfinals. Andy Roddick and Roger Federer will battle for a place in the semifinals.

Yesterday, the most spectacular match was played by James Blake and Tommy Haas. A long five set battle that Haas managed to turn to his advantage after losing two sets to one. Haas qualified himself for the quarterfinals by 4-6, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 and 7-6 (7-4). A spectacular match that lasted over 3 hours and that really pleased the crowd. The final set was intense, the playing quality was there and some shots were simply spectacular.

Here are today's most interesting matchups:

(Womens singles quarterfinals)

Justine Henin (1) vs Serena Williams (8)

(Mens singles 4th round)

Rafael Nadal (2) vs David Ferrer (15)

I hope that Roddick has fun, cause more than likely, he's going down.
