Halak shuts down Boston 1-0.
The Montreal Canadiens have successfully accomplished part 1 of their assignment by defeating the Boston Bruins 1-0 at the Bell centre. The two teams will collide once again on thursday in Boston.
The Habs rookie goaltender Jaroslav Halak has been spectacular late in the 3rd period to preserve the slim advantage and register the very first NHL shutout of his career. Halak has been chosen the first star of the game for a second game in a row. Rookie Guillaume Latendresse was the only player to beat Boston goaltender Tim Thomas.
The Bruins are now in the cables. Can the Habs finish off Boston on thursday?
