Elegantly executed.

The Montreal Canadiens battled valiantly yesterday against the Ottawa Senators yesterday but fell just a bit short and lost 4-3.

Carey Price was in net for the second time in his NHL career. The young goaltender allowed a bad goal early but did very well in general. The Habs battled back each and every time the Senators scored.

With just over 8 minutes to go to the game, Alex Kovalev tied the game at 3-3 on the power play giving hope to the Montreal fans. But only 24 seconds later, Tom Kostopoulos (what was he doing on the ice late in the game) commited a very bad turnover in his defensive zone, giving the puck to the Sens. Jason Spezza on the rebound didn't miss such an opportunity to score the game-winner.

All in all it was a good effort but the Habs fell short once again. Next game is scheduled saturday night as Montreal will host the Buffalo Sabres.

I'd like to see Halak up on the team instead of Price.

As a GM, Gainey is hurting Halak's trade value. He looked very promising last season and it doesn't really help for him to sit in the minors.

I'd want Price to get full playing time as well...

Yep, Carbonneau has been tied up by Gainey since day 1.

Carbonneau said No1 here or No1 in Hamilton at training camp opening.

But no trade involved Halak yet, Bob is doing nothing. I really would like to see Bob Gainey out.

His team management is poor, he made and still makes way too amny wrong signings/trades. (Samsonov, Kostopoulos, Bonk, Niniimaa, Garth Murray! (dammit hes still around), and on and on and on...

This team in my opinion is poorly managed, period.
