On borrowed time...
The Montreal Canadiens have defeated the Edmonton Oilers in the shootout 3-2, but the big news came from the team's medical staff. The heart and soul of the Habs in this start of season, Chris Higgins will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a bad ankle injury inflicted by New-Jersey on last saturday night. In yesterday's game Guillaume Latendresse replaced Higgins and scored his very first NHL goal at the start of the 3rd period, resulting in a wave of frenzy among the crowd gathered in the Bell Centre.
Next game for Montreal is only next saturday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
