Brodeur and the referees halts the Habs
Martin Brodeur stopped 33 of the 34 shots directed by his opponents and helped the New-Jersey Devils to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 2-1. Only Chris Higgins managed to beat Brodeur on the power play, tipping the puck at the last second.
In yesterday's game the referees helped a lot the New-Jersey cause. After the halfway mark of the game, the referees hid their whistle in their pockets and didn't call a single penalty. New-Jersey understood this and started hooking and obstructing everyone in sight, making it look like a 1995 hockey game. Very sad for this sport.
This was the worse Montreal performance of the season, unable to work with cohesion against a very ordinary team.
