Zidane headbutts World Cup`s fair play messages.
Some of the dust has settled around the 2006 World Cup final`s Italy victory in a dramatic ending at the penalty kicks. But in the end, the Zinedine Zidane`s headbutt to the chest of an Italian player remains in everyone`s talks.
A very surprizing act from a star player that was playing a fairly good game.
Everything that might have been said to ``Zizou`` before the charge, the charge itself (that didn`t inflict any corporal damage) but was enough to get him red carded on the spot.
All that isn`t really huge... What makes it huge then?
Well before every match in the 2006 World Cup a ceremony and pictures of whole teams behind banners saying ``No to racism in football`` and ``Fair pay`` were taken.
All these efforts were washed away in 5 mere seconds. Is fair play and goodwill possible someday in football?
Nice try FIFA but no cigar... people aren`t fair, got it?
