Zidane headbutts World Cup`s fair play messages.
Some of the dust has settled around the 2006 World Cup final`s Italy victory in a dramatic ending at the penalty kicks. But in the end, the Zinedine Zidane`s headbutt to the chest of an Italian player remains in everyone`s talks.
A very surprizing act from a star player that was playing a fairly good game.
Everything that might have been said to ``Zizou`` before the charge, the charge itself (that didn`t inflict any corporal damage) but was enough to get him red carded on the spot.
All that isn`t really huge... What makes it huge then?
Well before every match in the 2006 World Cup a ceremony and pictures of whole teams behind banners saying ``No to racism in football`` and ``Fair pay`` were taken.
All these efforts were washed away in 5 mere seconds. Is fair play and goodwill possible someday in football?
Nice try FIFA but no cigar... people aren`t fair, got it?

fifa should have panished materazzi more for provoking an icon in football.we all clearly saw how italy had to take out a great man in order to win a trophy in 24 years.with all the video evidence, which we know the 4th official used, should also be used to check for dives in the penalty box before awarding dubious penalties-"grosso"
