Sens defeat the Habs 3-0.
The battle for the northeast division continued yesterday as the Ottawa Senators were in Montreal to face the Canadiens at the Bell centre.
The Senators dominated the match from start to finish as they blanked Montreal by the score of 3-0. Jason Spezza with two goals and Antoine Vermette scored on rookie goaltender Carey Price who did all he could.
Martin Gerber at the other end did very well at crucial points to keep the Habs off the scoresheet and register the shutout. Ottawa regains first place of the division.
Next game for Montreal is saturday as the New York Islanders will visit the Canadiens at the Bell centre.
