The Red Sox in command.
The Boston Red Sox are now in a good position to win the World Series as they defeated the Colorado Rockies 2-1 yesterday to take a 2-0 series lead over the surprizing Rockies.
Veteran starting pitcher Curt Schilling of the Red Sox only allowed one point early in the game yesterday but then closed the door. Schilling's career post-season career record is impressive: he has a 11-2 record and a 2.23 ERA in 19 post-season games.
The series now moves into Colorado for games 3 and 4 of the world series. The Rockies now needs at least two wins to tie the series up or the Red Sox will wrap up this championship pretty quickly.
The Rockies' cinderella story is about to turn into a nightmare.
