Kovalev saves Montreal from a disaster.
The Montreal Canadiens defeated the St-Louis Blues 4-3. Montreal took a 3-0 lead in the game, but the Blues fought back and tied the game up with under 2 minutes to go in the 3rd period.
Alex Kovalev then found a way to score a big goal with 1:13 left in regulation to give Montreal a crucial 4-3 win. This will probably calm down the criticism from the fans after this early week controversy. You can read about his controversial interview he gave to a russian media here.
With the win, Montreal stays in the hunt for a playoff spot. The Eastern conference standings will be posted here tomorrow morning.
