Belgium native Justine Hennin-Hardenne easily defeated Mary Pierce in the French open finals by a score of 6-1 , 6-1. A flawless performance by the winner, and a very poor one for the finalist who never looked ready to compete at all. It gave a very ordinary match without anyreally good moment for the crowd.

Congratulations to the champion anyway, a grand slam is always hard work thru 2 weeks.
