Penguins take their revenge.
The second pre-season game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Pittsburgh Penguins was entirely different than the first one. The Penguins avenged their 3-2 overtime loss and dominated to finally win the game by 5-2.
Pittsburgh did not waste any time as they scored their first goal only 32 seconds into the match. The first period ended with a 3-0 Pittsburgh lead. The damage was done and the Penguins cruised to the victory for the rest of the game.
Goaltender Carey Price got his first taste of NHL action as he came in relief of Jaroslav Halak halfway into the game. His performance was at the image of his inexperience. An adaptation period is surely needed for him to get used to the speed and precision of NHL players.
More pre-season games are scheduled this week for Montreal.
